Big discussion over at AmyWelborn's blog about disputes over whether John Paul II made favorable remarks after seeing Mel Gibson's film, The Passion of Christ. Here's a brief Post story on the issue. Can't recall (and the free search doesn't go back far enough) if the Post wrote anything when the comment was first reported. Essential reading if you're interested in this is Peggy Noonan.

Separately, it will be interesting to see what kind of coverage the Post provides to the March for Life, a large, annual Catholic-led protest against the Roe v. Wade decision establishing, at the federal level, abortion rights. Nothing in the Post today other than street closings.
