Another problem with today's Title IX story, namely the following:

The wrestling coaches have asked a federal court to invalidate Title IX, saying it imposes quotas and illegally discriminates against men.

No. They have asked the court to invalidate the way Title IX has been enforced. They maintain it was never intended to become the quota system that they, and I, believe it has morphed into. The story itself recognizes the difference, because in the very next line it states:

Other critics of Title IX say it is a good law that is poorly enforced and poorly understood..

That's what the coaches believe. Here's just one citation from the wonderful website of the College Sports Council:

"The session ended with an important leader in wrestling leaving the commission with an important message. Jack Maughan, the head wrestling coach at the University of Northern Colorado and the president of the National Wrestling Coaches Association drew the last spot to speak to the commission. "I want to make it very clear. Wrestling coaches are not against Title IX; we are against the quota," said Maughan.
