Yikes Dept.... South Knox Bubba has some thoughts on the killer, but this one, really made in passing, jumps out uncomfortably:
The shooter seems to be taking aim at the heart of middle-class American suburbia. Victims representing a cross-section of American demographics, mini-vans at gas stations (personal freedom of movement, oil consumption, soccer moms), shopping centers (abundance, conspicuous consumption, disposable income), Home Depot (domestication, comfort, pride of home ownership, privately owned property). I'm starting to worry that an incident at a fast food place like McDonald's is next.
Is there some kind of message here? Could it be some insane Al Queda bullshit? Will the killings stop now that the shooter is 9 for 11?...
Could just as easily be "somebody who has lost their job and their insurance and their 401K and is pissed off at corporate America and 'normal" people?'" plus a bunch of other scenarios. But man.
