Layout 101... I may be paranoid, but I have a theory that in stories about education, the Post publishes more photos of girls than boys. Maybe I need to get out more often. But today we have a letter to the editor about a story reporting new ways to teach kids who simultaneously are learning disabled and gifted. The letter is illustrated by a large picture of a girl. It is written by the parents of a son.

Incidentally, a higher percentage of boys than girls have learning disabilities, something that isn't often reported in stories about education that focus on gender imbalances. For example, not in the Post story linked above.
