TITLE IX UPDATE...The College Sports Council got quick results from its complaint to ESPN about using the advocacy group Women's Sports Foundation to produce a Title IX program. According to my PR contact:

ESPN contacted us late yesterday, promising that they would sever their production agreement with the Women's Sports Foundation and asking us not to send press releases to any more news outlets. They have also removed from their Women & Sports webpage the link to the WSF lawsuit checklist.

The College Sports Council is not done, however:

We are discussing what our next step should be since it seems increasingly clear that ESPN's women's weekend is going to be a heavily biased affair. And although WSF has been ousted, ESPN is picking up the production of the Cohen v. Brown segment right where they left off. Hey girls, score a goal and file a lawsuit -- we'll put you on TV!
